The gardenhouse arrived

The gardenhouse arrived two days ago.
It's very pretty, already carefully assembled.
Because it fits against a house I've decided to reconsider the use of it.

The backwall can either stay or can be slided out to give access to the door of the house.

In case it'll be attached, it's wise to decorate the wall inside a bit like the outer wall of the house, maybe.

I'm thinking aloud here.

It's even possible to buy another one and have a whole freestanding gardenhouse.

Guess, this is boring for you, but I'm just thinking aloud.

Feel free to give your input.

Waiting and the miniature flu

From now on there's always someone downstairs to answer the door.

The gardenhouse is due any day now. I can't wait!!

I'm still looking for Glencroft, the cottage/house by Greenleaf.
Ordering one house aborad means paying more to get it here than the house itself costs.

There's a shop here ready to order it, but I need to have an idea of the prize otherwise I probably might now have enough money.

In the meantime the whole world seems to have change into dollhouse opportunities.

I have a large bowl in a corner and I throw everything in it that might be transformed to a dollshouse item.

The houses across the street and the post villas at the lake seem to be nothing more than a large dollhouse.
I'm drawing their plans in my head...

Oh my dear! I guess I've got the miniature-flu!!

Ask Spock!

Today life circled around web design.
I had to help a friend completing an assignment for his studies.
He needed to write about Dutch web designers, and he didn't know where to find them.

I was happy to help him out properly, so I told him about Spock.com.
It allows a quick and easy search for persons or groups of people.

At Spock.com one can not only search by name, but also by email or tag.
Searching by tag means that one can search for any listed personal characteristic, such as profession, hobbies and haircolour.
Spock.com is an interactive site. After joining, registering is free, you can contribute information, submit your photos, link to other areas of the web, e.g. to blogs, myspace and such.
A good choice of tags enables others to find you at the keywords you want to see connected with your name. It's not something a computer generates. No. You make the tags. So when you want to be found by a certain group of people, you have to find and use the common denominator.

My friend was amazed. He expected an elaborate search on internet, and instead of that I went to Spock.com without any doubt.
When I typed in web designer netherlands we immediately got the group of people on our screen that are dedicated to web design .
We saw quite some familiar faces.

On their pages he was able to read their biography and learn more about their lives.
When he said he knew something to add, I was happy to inform him that being a member means that you can add that information without any problem. That's the strength of the system: combining the knowledge of people results in improved search results.
It's not about ranks, it's about facts.

Using Spock.com is fun, because it offer features that come in handy for your blog, like the widget with the search results.
The name Spock stands for facts and good knowledge.

Like my friend said when he was finished: "This search engine is truly helpful, and it sure has a face and it's own personality"

He used the easy widget to safe his search results.

Maybe it's something for us dollhouse enthousiasts too!

A gardenhouse

Sometimes I feel so lucky!

I've found online on a little gardenhouse.
The price was way below the ones I'd seen when visiting sites.

It looks like the gardenhouse I would love to have at real life measurements.

Isn't it nice to be able to dream about it?

Now let's first wait when it comes and how it looks.

Maybe I'll make it a flowerhouse, or a hobbyhouse, or maybe I should make it the way I would make my gardenhouse, if ever I'll have one.

I've choosen for Glencroft

I've choosen for Glencroft house.

Ofcourse I wanted to buy one of the huge houses, with basement, but when I saw Glencroft I just fell for it.

I'm looking aorund where to order it, because there is a prize difference of over 40 dollars.

At Overstock it's only 69,99, but they won't ship to my country.
So I've asked for the shippingcosts at the next options. They are 20 dollars more for the house, shippingcosts not included.

I hope to get some answers this afternoon.

I can't wait!!

How to choose : space and size

Choosing a dollshouse is not symply a metter of counting your money and order one.

There are many things to reckon with and one is : space.

Where do you want to put your house.

When you have a house that opens in the front, you don't need as much place as when the house opens at the back.
In that case you need to be able to move the house from the wall, or place it somewhere where you can access the back very easy.
Sometimes a turntable comes in very handy, but you need to have enough space to rotate the whole house.

Always have an open eye for open doors.
When you are bussy with your house, you shouldn't be confronted with doors slamming against your little doors or front walls.

Also take into account that maybe you want to decorate the house at the outside.
A ghazebo, gardenhouse or a playground requires space.

Thinking and planning prevents problems in the future.

Gardenhouses

I've been able to buy two gardenhouses on you-know-bay.
They were prized very low, so I'll just wait what I get.

Maybe there's something missing in the kits, or something broken, I don't know.

But it was well worth the risk.

I expect them at the end of the week, not earlier.

So let's see.
